David L. Robbins
A native Pennsylvanian, Dave is a 2005 graduate of Penn State University with a B.A. in Sociology and a 2009 graduate of The Appalachian School of Law in Grundy, Virginia where he received his Juris Doctorate in 2009. Dave originally opened a small, solo practice in Elizabethton, Tennessee. During his time in Elizabethton, Dave handled a wide array of cases including a stand as a special contractor for the First Judicial District Public Defender’s Office. During his practice, Dave has litigated cases in eight counties in Northeast Tennessee, representing clients at all trial levels including on appeal before the Tennessee Court of Appeals and in the Tennessee Court of Criminal Appeals. Additionally, Dave has handled complex matters involving Probate, Conservatorship, Business litigation and other litigation pertaining to Elder Law issues. Dave's passion to serve the senior community led him to his current position where he works with Fred and Rick to assist in Estate Planning, Probate, Conservatorship, Medicaid Planning, and Real Estate services. David has previously served as a board member to the Dawn of Hope in Johnson City and currently serves as Chairman of the Board of Crossroads as well as on the board of the Tennessee Recovery Coalition, and the Drop Collaborative. David is also an active member of the Washington County Bar Association, the Tennessee Bar Association, (Probate and Estate Planning Division), and the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys.
Real Estate Legal Assistant
Debi has been a member of our staff since February of 1998. With over 30 years of experience in transactional real estate and title insurance administration, Debi was instrumental in assisting the firm obtaining ALTA Certification.
Angela M. Hilbert
Real Estate Legal Assistant
Angie joined the firm in May, 1999 and has worked with the firm for 18 years with total experience in her field exceeding 20 years. She graduated from Milligan College in 1998 with a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science/Legal Assistance. Angie is a transactional specialist in both residential and commercial real estate. She works with a variety of lenders and clients in the purchase, sale and lending involving real estate matters.
Legal Assistant in Estate Planning & Probate matters
After working for trial lawyers for a number of years, Joann decided to make a change in her career. Ms. McQueen brought her experience in litigation to the firm in July of 2000. She excels in the practice of estate planning, probate, and corporate law. Joann demonstrates both skill and sensitivity in working with clients in their estate planning, and in cases where probate is involved by guiding the clients through the difficult process when they are grieving the loss of a loved ones. Joann works alongside Mr. Brandt and Mr. Robbins in the areas of Estate Planning, Probate and Corporate Law.
Real Estate Legal Assistant & Title Examiner
Ms. Stanley joined the firm in 1997 and her 30 years of experience is demonstrated through her real estate title examination and certifications. She graduated from ETSU with a B.S.W. in 1977 and from Northeast State with an AAS in Computer Science in 1984. She is a familiar face in East Tennessee counties as the she examines county documents from registrars, probate, assessors and trustee offices.
BreAnna L. Terry
Receptionist & Office Assistant
BreAnna worked for the firm throughout high school and college before eventually joining us full time in May of 2014. BreAnna graduated from Happy Valley High School in 2008 and graduated cum laude from East Tennessee State University in 2012 with a degree in Business Administration with a concentration in Management and minor in Human Development and Learning. BreAnna is certified in Estate Planning Counseling.
BreAnna’s important role provides not only the first contact but also vital assistance in preparing documents and responding to requests and linking clients with staff. Along with serving as our receptionist, she assists other office staff with preparing documents, meeting with clients, etc.
Pennie E. Terry
Financial Controller & Administrative
Pennie joined the firm of Brandt and Beeson in 2002. Pennie was born and raised in Elizabethton, TN. She graduated from Elizabethton High School and Herman Robinson Vocational/Technical School where her focus was in Office Administration. Prior to her employment with Brandt & Beeson, Pennie was employed with Siemens Automotive where she served as Assistant to the Controller, and United Cities Gas as Assistant to Vice-President/CFO. She is married to Brent Terry and together they own B. Terry Vintage Auto Restoration. They are blessed with two children, BreAnna and Blake. Their son, Blake drives an Open Wheeled Modified dirt track car, so most Saturday nights you will find their family at the race track. They are also very active in their church with teaching Sunday School, singing in the choir, and volunteering in many outreach ministries of the church. Pennie’s family is also very involved in planning and hosting antique car tours, especially Model T tours through-out the southeast. She loves spending her time with her family and friends. Pennie serves as the firm’s Financial Controller as well as personal assistant to Mr. Brandt and Mr. Beeson.
